Hi Kelly, I completed the CAP program a couple years ago. I think it was very beneficial to understand planned giving, not just complex gifts but also the psychology of giving. There was a study group that was helpful and good for networking as well. My group happened to have several financial planners as well as community foundation leadership, which has benefitted my organization.
The Director of Major Gifts on my team and he just finished course #1 . He's finding it very helpful so far.
If you'd like more information or have specific questions please email me, I'm happy to try to answer them.

Hello Out There Healthcare Philanthropy Friends,
I have decided that 2025 will be the year that I pursue an advanced degree or certification in gift planning. I am looking for an online program and recent discovered The American College of Financial Services. They have certification programs in a number of related areas and I think I would like to do their Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy program. Does anyone have experience with ACFS? I would love to hear about it. Also, if you have other program recommendations, please send them my way!
Thanks in advance,
Kelly
