Metric standardization is the bedrock of the future, as more advanced, real-time analytics and insights are needed to succeed. Advocate Aurora Health Foundations took advantage of the recent health system integration to restructure data and implement a standard data collection process for all fundraising entities that mirrored the AHP industry standards. There was a clear vision for what the end result should look like, which made enfranchising senior leadership easy. In tandem, the Finance and Data Integrity teams worked to create a new, required field within Raiser’s Edge for all development staff to use. As Foundation staff began using the field, Megan Fergus, Senior Financial Analyst, and Vivian Karpowicz, Director of Data Integrity and Reporting, conducted monthly reviews of the data input to ensure accurate and consistent use of the field.
