The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) today announced that Alice Ayres will join AHP as president and chief executive officer, effective April 16.
In this role, Ayres will draw on over ten years of senior-level leadership experience helping health care executives achieve their strategic goals. Most recently, she served as chief revenue officer at Knowledge to Practice (K2P), an educational technology firm developing continuing education for physicians and trainees. Before joining K2P, Ayres was an executive director of The Advisory Board Company, overseeing the firm's strategic marketing strategy and execution. In both roles, she worked closely with executive leaders at hospitals and health systems.
"Alice's commitment to AHP's mission was evident the first time I met her," said Jory Pritchard-Kerr, chair of the AHP board of directors. "The board is excited that Alice is joining our team. As a dynamic, proven leader with a wealth of experience in the health care sector, she is the perfect person to lead AHP."

"Our members are being asked to contribute to the strategic direction of their institutions, and AHP is dedicated to supporting them."
Before moving into health care, Ayres held marketing leadership roles at Kraft Foods, a wireless startup called Kajeet, and The Atlantic. Her deep knowledge of the health care industry and strong marketing skills will be assets in the role of CEO, as AHP develops new educational opportunities and tools to support the important work of health care development professionals.
